What is in a business class amenity kit?
The small bag airlines give long-haul business class passengers: usually an eye mask, earplugs, socks, a dental kit and skin care.
Amenity kit, explained
Amenity kits are part of long-haul business class on most airlines, often made with a brand of cosmetics or luggage. They usually hold an eye mask, earplugs, socks, a toothbrush and toothpaste, lip balm and moisturizer.
Some airlines also offer sleepwear on night flights, and many give noise-canceling headphones for the flight. On shorter flights, airlines often skip the kit.
The kit is the airline's to choose and changes with its partners and seasons, so it is a pleasant extra rather than a reason to pick one airline over another. The seat, the bed and the schedule matter more.
On a business class trip
On a night flight to Tokyo, a business class passenger finds an amenity kit at the seat with an eye mask and earplugs for the hours of sleep.
