What is the business class baggage allowance?
How many bags you can check and carry on, and how heavy they can be. Business class usually includes more than economy; the airline sets the exact allowance.
Baggage allowance, explained
Airlines set allowances by cabin, route and fare. Business class on international flights usually includes two checked bags, often with a higher weight limit than economy, but the exact allowance is the airline's.
On a ticket with several airlines, the allowance follows rules that depend on the itinerary, so it is worth checking before you pack.
There are two systems: the piece concept, a number of bags each up to a set weight, used on most flights to and from the US, and the weight concept, a total weight, used on some routes elsewhere. Frequent flyer status can add to the allowance, and extra, oversized or overweight bags cost extra at the airline's published rates.
On a business class trip
A family visiting relatives abroad with gifts in two large bags each checks the allowance of the business class fare before booking.
